We began this ministry in 2013. I was working at UCO, and the Holy Spirit dropped the name "Sister Sister" in my spirit. I listened and took notes as he began downloading about developing a woman's ministry. So, upon his direction, we began to develop relationships, build trust, and establish accountability. Then, we ministered to our sisters in crisis. Later, we realized our sister in crisis was sitting next to us.
In 2014, we supported our missions team when they prepared to go to India. We did a Beds for Babies campaign and helped purchase beds for children in orphanages. We sought the face of GOD for our body, had a shut-in, and prayed from 6 PM to 6 AM. Since then, we have supported many outreaches, assisting the women of Remerge, Eden Clinic, Regional Food Bank, YWCA, and Pine Ridge South Dakota Women Unit for sex crimes against women and children, by donating clothes and other necessities. Pastor Charla and I prayed at Branch 15, which was a domestic abuse shelter for women. We also supported Positive Tomorrows and Sox of Love; to name a few. We have designed our very own T-shirt. We had one created, as well. We held conferences and took an overnight road trip to Dallas to see Priscilla Shirer, Christine Caine, and the late First Lady Lois Evans at the "Desperate for Jesus Conference" in 2017.
In 2019, we did our book study, "Beautifully Broken," by Pastor Kim Pothier-Jones, as we loved each other back to life! Then, motivator, author, and image consultant commissioner...Pat Carr came and introduced us to Team Ministries. In 2020, We partnered with TEEM Ministries and attempted to mentor women coming out of incarceration. However, the COVID pandemic made it impossible to connect in this endeavor. We put mentoring on hold as the pandemic continued. However, we did provide hygiene products to the women and gave gently used clothing to TEEM Ministries. Some of us wrote Christmas and Valentine's Day Cards. We welcomed Apostle Kay Newberry as she spoke at our first "Mother/Daughter Tea." Some of us enjoyed a brief getaway by taking a train trip to Ft.
Worth, for some, "Retail Therapy"! Now, we are partnering with Mabel Bassett Correctional Facility by sending Mother's Day cards in 2024 and becoming pen pals to some of the inmates. As we continue to grow, we are excited to step into our next assignment and fulfill all the Lord has for US. Come go with us as we advance the Kingdom of GOD together!
